    Shawn Boling

    Shawn Boling

    Executive Chef, CEC, LLI

    Shawn Boling has a passion for food and people that have helped him win multiple awards and Accolades over his career ranging from “Best Local Appetizer” to “Best Catering Chef” in Seattle and Bellevue.

    A graduate of South Seattle Culinary Program, he has been in the hospitality field over 35 years. His culinary experience includes positions as Catering Director, Executive Chef, and Restaurant Consultant working for Hyatt, Hilton Hotels, and Corporate Chef for the Boeing Presidents. Shawn is a member of the Washington State Chef Association and holds the honor of being certified “CEC” from the American Culinary Federation and a graduate of the LeadingAge Leadership Institute.

    Shawn is a Culinary Coach/Consultant for 3rdThird helping multiple culinary departments across the country to become very successful. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Shawn understands the use of local ingredients and how to work with the local vendors. You can also find him teaching pottery or cooking classes, cheering on the Seahawks, or crabbing in the San Juan Islands.

    Amanda FiglerAmanda Figler

    Dining Consultant

    Amanda has been dedicated to the hospitality and healthcare nutrition for the last 20 years, with a high drive to serve and connect with people from all backgrounds.

    A graduate of South Seattle Professional Baking program, she has taken her skill set to many diverse levels in the food service industry. She has experience in corporate and private event catering, as a supervisor and trainer producing all natural baked goods at a national chain grocer, and seven years experience in the healthcare field as a Supervisor in the Nutrition department at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Amanda also has extensive knowledge with healthcare menu software program, that she helped implement to create a safer, user-friendly, and cost effective system to support patients and employees.

    Amanda believes that a positive and open mindset is a must for successful outcome and team growth to better support our current and future customers.

    Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Amanda can be found enjoying the local beaches or hiking in the Cascades with her family.

    Mike PeacockMike Peacock

    Executive Chef/Project Manager

    Mike’s passion for cooking and experimentation began in childhood and led him to a life-long career in the Food Industry. This career has spanned almost 30 years, and his vast experience includes positions as Executive Chef, Culinary Director, Event Coordinator, Private Chef, and Cooking Instructor.

    A longtime resident of the Pacific Northwest, his desire to work with fresh regional ingredients and specialty meats such as wild game and seafood have led to awards at local food festivals and invitations to cater private functions for local celebrities and officials. Never Satisfied to “do what’s already been done,” his quest for culinary diversity and innovation has resulted in a track record of successful endeavors.

    Mike has extensive experience in product sourcing, menu and recipe development, vendor relations, POS integration, FOH and BOH training, and system implementation. His direct method of communication ensures that all parties involved in a project have a clear and concise understanding of expectations and outcomes. As an Executive Chef and Project Manager for Culinary Coach and 3rdThird Marketing, his focus is on quality, consistency, and communication. He also spearheads the newly launched 3rdThird/Culinary Coach Podcast, which aims to bring innovation and fresh ideas to the world of senior living.

    In addition to teaching occasional private cooking classes, catering private parties, and hanging out in the great outdoors with his wife, Mike is an avid musician and podcaster. You can usually find him out on the local music and art scenes talking with musicians and artists in an attempt to soak up the inspiration.
