Culinary consultant Shawn Boling has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry as a Culinary Director and Executive Chef.
He is a graduate of South Seattle Culinary Program and LeadingAge Leadership Institute of Washington with CEC certification through the American Chefs Association. He also has extensive experience in high-volume production kitchens with-in hotels and off-site gourmet catering.
Years of experience as the Culinary Director and Executive Chef in upscale retirement communities has give him a breadth of knowledge to help any organization to excel. From independent living to assisted living to skilled nursing to memory care, his consulting experience adapts to any senior living or care environment.
Shawn’s strong suits include: building unified and talented dining services teams, managing and expediting gourmet weekly menu production, working closely with registered dietitians to ensure all textures, portions and nutrition specifications are met., He knows how to manage and motivate team members in a positive and caring atmosphere, culinary consulting, opening new cafes and restaurants, teaching culinary apprenticeship programs, developing seasonal menus, meeting and exceeding all Dining Services budgets.
